This document describes the methods used on this website to process the personal data of users ("User/Users") who consult it.
This information is provided pursuant to art. 13 of Legislative Decree no. 196/2003, the socalled personal data protection law (the “Privacy Code”), to anyone who interacts with the web services provided by Eyemed Technologies S.r.l. (“Eyemed” or “Company”), accessible from the homepage of the website at the following address: http://www.adorelenses.com/ (“Website”).
The information is only provided for the Website and not for any other websites the user consults through the links present on it.
1. Data controller
The personal data controller is the company Eyemed Technologies S.r.l., with registered office in Via al Boscaccio no. 3, 21011 Casorate Sempione (VA) (“ Controller”).
2. Types of data processed and purposes of processing
2.1 Browsing data
The computer systems and software procedures used for functioning of the Website acquire certain personal data during their normal operation, the transmission of which is implicit in use of Internet communication protocols.
This information is not collected in order to be associated with identified people but, due to its nature and as a result of processing and association with data held by third parties, could allow Users to be identified.
This data category includes IP addresses or domain names of the computer used by Users connecting to the Website, URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) notation addresses of the requested resources, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the digital code indicating the status of the response given by the server (successful, error, etc.) and other parameters relating to the User's operating system and computer environment.
The data is used solely in order to obtain statistical information on use of the Website and to check correct functioning and is deleted immediately after processing. The data may be used to ascertain liability in the case of possible computer crimes damaging the Website: with the exception of this case, the data on web contacts currently does not remain for more than seven days.
2.3 Data provided voluntarily by the user
In addition to this type of data, the Owner of the Website processes information provided voluntarily by the User:
a) on purchasing products offered on the Website, to allow the sales transaction to be completed;
b) to fulfil requests for a consultation provided by an optician;
c) with the User's express consent, for sending business communications and newsletters, via e-mail, relating to the goods and/or services offered by the Owner of the Website.
3. Processing methods
The personal data is processed using manual and automated computer systems, for the time necessary to achieve the purpose for which it has been collected.
The Owner adopts specific security measures to guarantee that the data is processed in accordance with the Privacy Code, with particular regard to loss of the data, its illegal or incorrect use or unauthorised access to the databases.
4. Nature of the data and consequences of refusing to respond
The data must be processed in order to complete the sales procedure of goods offered on the Website and to receive a reply to requests for consultation. Refusing to allow processing therefore makes it impossible to purchase the goods and/or use the on line consultation service offered by the Owner.
Consenting to processing of data to send business communications or newsletters is optional.
If the User refuses to provide this consent, they will not receive updates on new products and/or promotions offered by the Owner.
5. Rights of the person concerned
The User is entitled to obtain confirmation of whether or not their personal data exists, even if they are not registered yet, and have it communicated in intelligible form.
The User is entitled to be informed of:
a) the origin of the personal data;
b) the processing purposes and methods;
c) the logic applied when electronic processing is performed;
d) the identity of the data controllers and the date processing managers;
e) the parties or the categories of parties to whom the data may be communicated or who may learn it as the appointed representative in the territory of the State, managers or processors.
The User is also entitled to obtain:
f) revision, correction or, if desired, supplementing of the data;
g) deletion, conversion into anonymous form or blocking of data processed illegally, including data which does not need to be kept in relation to the purposes for which it has been collected or subsequently processed;
h) certification that the operations of letters a) and b) have been explained, even only in terms of their content, to anyone to whom the data itself has been communicated or disclosed, unless this is impossible or would involve a use of resources which is manifestly disproportionate to the right being protected.
The User may partially or fully oppose:
a) for legitimate reasons, processing of their own personal data, even for the reasons for which it has been collected;
b) processing of their personal data in order to send advertising or direct sales material or to conduct market surveys or make business communications.
These rights may be exercised by writing to Eyemed, at the registered office indicated above or at firstname.lastname@example.org, indicating “Eyemed – privacy” on the subject line.
6. Disclosure of data
The personal data collected on the Website will not be disclosed, sold or transferred to third parties, except in cases where this is required by law.
The data may be disclosed, in all cases, to companies expressly assigned to perform certain services as part of the activities performed by the Owner of the Website and/or, in general, in its favour, which operate as independent data controllers and/or data processing managers, or to companies in the Eyemed Technologies group, for organisational and/or administrative purposes, and the data may also be communicated and/or disclosed, in accordance with the law, on request of law enforcement agencies, the judicial authorities, information and security agencies or other public agencies for purposes of national defence or security or the prevention, discovery or elimination of crimes.
8. Duration of processing
